These three missions interacting with each other and with both internal and external stakeholders create an ethics ecosystem that Ben & Jerrys successfully relied on as the company grew from its regional to national size. The reciprocity, transparency, and accountability to external and internal stakeholders in effect created by the product, economic, and social missions working together also served to create a very high level of trust.
