In order to achieve the purpose of this study; the researcher used the inductive approach and go from studying the role of resource officers in eliminating violence in schools to the general responsibilities that they have. The inductive approach is appropriate for this study as it will not allow the researcher to deviate from the problem and purpose of the study but will eventually allow him to explore the other aspects of the environment he has chosen to study.
